Cinema is more than just entertainment; it is a beautiful mirror through which we can understand life. Yesterday, on February 16, 2026, Walking Talkies and St. Vincent’s Home, Maggona, beautifully collaborated to bring this cinematic magic to a group of wonderful children.
We spent an inspiring day at the ‘Susithodaya’ Child Development Centre with 45 brilliant kids, screening the highly acclaimed masterpiece, Black (2005). Following the screening, we had an engaging, child-friendly dialogue about the core themes of the movie—love, forgiveness, resilience, overcoming life’s ultimate challenges, and the art of cinematic storytelling. Hearing the children’s perspectives and seeing how deeply they connected with the story was truly heartwarming!
A profound thank you goes out to Fr. Lakshan Fernando, OMI, for his continuous guidance and support in making this collaboration a reality. Additionally, driven purely by a genuine love for the community, the teams at Talento (PVT) Ltdand the Tulana Media Unit dedicated their time, energy, and expertise to support this initiative.
Our shared vision is to continue creating these meaningful experiences, fueled solely by the desire to give back to society. If you believe in the power of art and cinema to inspire the next generation, we warmly invite you to join hands with us! Whether you wish to support, collaborate, or simply be a part of our future community initiatives, our doors are always open. Let’s work together to shape a brighter tomorrow!
